Gran Sfera Horn Speaker System
The Gran Sfera horns are based on the Le Cleac'h expansion selected for its open sound and lack of coloration. It allows the nuance and dynamic of the music to reach the listener with a natural quality. Many remark it does not sound like a horn although it retains their efficiency. The system's four elements are:
Alto Horn:
250hz horn with Le Cleac'h expansion designed for Lowther A55 driver and open baffle. Response +/- 3db.
Basso Horn:
120hz horn with Le Cleac'h expansion, back chamber and proprietary bass driver. Response to 28hz at 100db/1watt/1m.
Grand Stand:
Isolates drivers for maximum clarity and micro detail. Separates Final Passage from Basso cabinet to prevent microphony.
Final Passage Crossover:
Provides seemless integration of the Alto and Basso Horns with coherent phase and open dynamics through extensive design and component selection. It is very simple electronically, a product of evolution, (a single capacitor with a resister for level matching) for the Alto combining the natural horn roll off to effect of a second order result. The Basso uses a second order (one inductor, one capacitor) with a super high quality inductor with low DCR to maintain excellent impulse response.
